Nigel is a professional artist and illustrator who exhibits regularly in London and Bath. He is a member of the Royal West of England Academy and of the Association of Illustrators. He lives in Suffolk where he and his artist wife have established Romany Studio. The illustrative material in the Guides is produced in Romany Studio's workshops.

Barry is responsible for the cartography in Finial Press's publications. After 30 years teaching geography in secondary schools in Sussex and Gloucestershire, Barry left the profession in 1997. He is a keen walker, mapaholic and author of Walking the South Gloucestershire Cotswolds (Thornhill Press, 1992).
